Cordelia entered the office on Wednesday morning; She was not in a good mood. "Angel!!!! I am so going to kill you!!" She screamed.

Angel, who had just entered from his office and was about to say good morning, almost dropped his coffee at her loudness. "What's the matter, Cordelia?" He asked.

"Oh, like you even have to ask!" Angel continued to look confused. "I had a vision last night." She replied.

"And?" Angel responded, still wondering why that was so traumatic. "You've had visions before."

"Well, this time I had one in the middle of a date. I bet he thinks I'm a spaz now. And right around Valentines Day, too." Angel just looked at her. "Whatever. I guess it's not your fault I have these crappy things. Its Doyle's." There was an awkward pause. "God. Did I just say that? I'm still being mean to him even after he's dead, gone for good. I guess I don't want to think about him being dead, you know. It just easier to think he's off somewhere drunk and we have to pick him up any minute. Or that he couldn't take this whole hero business and left." She sighed. "Now that he's gone I find myself wishing I wasn't so horrible to him when he was alive. I'm surprised he didn't hate me for it."

"Doyle loved you, very much." That's all he said.

Suddenly Wesley entered the office. "How are my favorite people doing today?" He asked cheerily. Cordelia and Angel just stood there looking solemn. "What's wrong?" There was a long pause.

"So, lets go find this person from my vision last night, shall we?" Cordelia stated to break silence. *****************

That night Angel, Cordelia and Wesley were sitting around the lobby when a man entered. He was carrying a long red box.

"Cordelia Chase?" He asked.

Cordelia stood up. "That's me."

"Sign here." She did so and took the box, carefully looking it over. The man left.

Wesley and Angel came over to see it as she opened the box. Inside were two of the most beautiful white roses she had ever seen; a small leather book accompanied them. The book contained love poetry handwritten by the author, Sir Thomas Wyatt. "Did either of you send these?" They both shook their heads 'no'. "Well, then who did?"

"Wait… there's a card." Angel picked a small white tag up out of the box. "It says "With love always. Your Secret Admirer."

"Let me see that." Cordelia grabbed the card from his hand. She stared at it, turning it over and over; reading the message and who it was from. "I have a secret admirer! And right around Valentines, too! I wonder who it is!" Cordelia walked into her office happily and sat down at her desk reading the poems.

"You really didn't send them, Wesley?" Angel whispered so Cordelia would not hear.

"No." He replied.

"Then who did?"

The next day Cordelia was sitting at her desk talking to a friend of hers. Angel walked in. "Oh! Angel! Guess what!" She continued without waiting for a reply. "Andrea has invited us all to her Valentines Day Ball. It's going to be so much fun!" She shoved the invitation into his hands. "Anyway, I have to go. Andrea and I are going dress shopping. Bye." Angel just stood there trying to process all the information he had just been given. But before Cordelia could leave Wesley entered carrying a small red package.

"Cordelia, this was on the doorstep. It's addressed to you." A smile spread across her face as he handed it to her.

She opened it, revealing a letter and an even smaller velvet box. Inside the box there was a necklace. "Oh! It's so beautiful." She showed it to the three of them.

"It's a claddaugh." Angel stated. Cordelia just looked confused. "It's an old Irish symbol. Usually they come in ring form, but you can get necklaces and other jewelry as well. The hands stand for Friendship, the heart for love and the crown for loyalty."

"Wow. Hey, what's the letter say?" Andrea asked.

Cordelia carefully opened the folded paper. She read it aloud. "I figure you don't need an explanation of what the necklace means, because you have your very own Irish boss to do that for you. I hope you like it and will wear it for me. Love, Your Secret Admirer."

"How…" Wesley began, but Angel cut him off.

"I don't like this Cordelia. It seems strange. How does he know about me?"

"Well, I've told people about my boss being Irish, I think. It just means that we've talked more than once… maybe he's an old fling… or somebody from Sunnydale. It could be Xander, for all we know." She stated. "I have to go now." She took her gift and left with Andrea.

"I don't like this at all." Wesley commented.

"Me either, Wesley, me either."

On Friday the three of them were all sitting together eating a makeshift dinner after a long day of evil fighting. Suddenly there was a knock on the door.

"Urgh! You better no be in any trouble because it'll just have to wait until we're done eating." Cordelia yelled as she went to answer the door. When she opened it there was no one to be found. Looking down she saw another red package. She excitedly picked it up and brought it over to the table. Wesley and Angel just looked at each other.

"Cordelia, maybe you should just leave it." Wesley suggested.

"Wesley. Please shut up. Thank you." Cordelia slowly opened the box. Inside she found a gorgeous pair of earrings that matched her necklace perfectly. She immediately began putting them in. Angel grabbed the letter that also came with the package.

He started reading, "Cordelia, I figured I'd leave my identity a secret only until Valentines. I'll see you at Andrea's Ball; expect me there with a rose for you, just like the first ones I gave you. Love, Your Soon To Be Not-So-Secret Admirer."

"So, there you go, Angel. He knows Andrea, that's how he knew all that stuff about you and where I work. Okay? You can stop being paranoid now." Cordelia stated.

"Um, Cordelia, If I might say something…" Cordelia gave Wesley an evil glare. He continued anyway. "Andrea seemed surprised about the gifts. Maybe you should call her and ask her before planning on going to this party. We don't know who this guy is."

Cordelia sighed. "Fine, if it'll get the two of you off my back, I will." She went over to the phone and dialed Andrea's number. Her side of the conversation could be heard. "Andrea? Hi. It's Cordelia. I just got another present from my secret admirer…yes…no…. but…. you see, that's what I was calling about. He said he's coming to you're party… you don't… but… oh…maybe…thanks. Bye." Cordelia turned to Angel. "She said she doesn't know who it is. But it could have just been someone she invited to the party and didn't tell her because she would definitely spoil the surprise."

"Or it could be someone she didn't invite and has been stalking you. Some sort of demon planning to kill you." Angel added.

"Or you could be over reacting." Cordelia said. "I'm going home. I'll see you Monday."

Monday night Cordelia was all ready for the Ball. Nothing Angel or Wesley said could convince her not to go, so they planned on going too, just to make sure she'd be okay. At around 7 o'clock they arrived at there. It was a beautiful place, enormous, with red, pink and white flowers all over. Hearts adorned every wall, and the orchestra played slow love songs. People were everywhere.

"This is great!" Cordelia exclaimed. She and Angel were standing by the buffet table. "I can't wait until he gets here. Can you see anyone here alone? That is, other than Wesley."

"No." He looked around the ballroom.

"Why don't you go somewhere else. I don't want him to see me with another guy." Angel just looked at her. "Fine! Stay here!" She threw up her hands in defeat and started to walk over to the drink table.

Following her Angel nervously glanced toward the doors. That's when he saw a man, carrying a white rose, enter. He suddenly smiled and said to Cordelia "You know what? I think I will leave you alone. Enjoy the ball." And with that he walked toward the other end of the ballroom.

Cordelia was more than mildly confused. As she looked around the room her eyes feel dead on one person. "DOYLE?"

She ran as fast as she could over to him. He smiled at her and handed her a white rose. "Hi, Princess."

"This…this can't be real. Your…dead." She stuttered.

"You didn't think you'd get rid of me that easily, did ya'?" He replied.

"But… how?"

"Say hello to The Power's That Be's newest Guardian Angel."

Cordelia couldn't help laughing a little. "Guardian Angel?"

"Yep. Complete with wings. The powers figured that you and Angle could use some help."

"I can't believe it. This is just too good to be true. So… what was Heaven like?"

"Surprisingly, there wasn't much to do there."

"Only you could get bored in Heaven, Doyle, only you."

"What can I say, it was missing one very important thing. You." And with that said he kissed her.
